Diamond is used in the field of photonic devices due to its excellent optical properties and color center emitters. An optical resonator is a micro-nano optical structure that can combine the emission of diamond color centers with the enhancement effect of the resonator based on the enhanced light-matter interaction within a finite mode volume, selectively enhance the emission of the color center, and provide stable and strong optical signals in photonic circuits. In recent years, the development of diamond micro-nano processing technology has promoted the research and application of diamond optical resonators. This paper summarizes the research status of diamond optical resonators, outlines the basic properties, synthesis and processing methods of diamond, introduces the generation of diamond color centers and their coupling principles with optical resonators, sorts out the research progress of three different types of diamond optical resonators, and looks forward to the future development of diamond optical resonators.References
